Q: Can you confirm that the concept design for architecture has been completed and approved for this project and that architects will only be required for the detailed design stage?

A: As indicated in the Expression of Interest, a contemporary concept design has been created and is being proposed for this project. While this is not cast in stone, the design principles of the building will have to be maintained and approved by the Government of Malta. The detailed designs, as well as the development, operation and marketing of the project, will be the responsibility of the selected party.

Q: Vorremmo sapere se i finanziamenti per la realizzazione dell'opera saranno tutti a carico di noi partecipanti o c'è la possibilità di avere degli apporti di capitali Statali o Europei o... ?

A: Il progetto dipende dal capitale, l’iniziattiva e la competenza provveduti dal settore privato.

Q: Data la situazione dei luoghi è indispensabile tenere conto di parte dell'esistente o si può non tenerne conto - si potranno avere in seguito i relativi disegni degli immobili che si intende recuperare all'interno dell'opera?

A: L’offerente selezionato per il progetto sarà responsabile per i disegni dettagliati e lo sviluppo completo del medesimo progetto. Le zone proposte si possono trovare nella manifestazione di interesse, che si trova anche sulla pagina Expression of Interest sul sito - controllare da pagine 31 a 44.

Q: Nella selezione dei candidati che presenteranno la loro adesione quante Società verranno prescelte per la realizzazione del progetto?

A: Il preselezionamento dei candidati dipenderà dalla loro professionalità e le qualifiche techniche e sarà pure basato su criteri diversi come elencati a pagina 54 della manifestazione di interesse, che si trova anche sulla pagina Expression of Interest sul sito.

Q: Can you give re-assurances that MEPA’s approval would be available by the time the Preferred Applicant is selected? Will MEPA be represented in the selection process to ensure that the selected project does not suffer undue bureaucratic delays in the development approval process?

A: Malta Enterprise will hold all the necessary discussions with the appropriate entities and will give its full support to the selected bidder to ensure that the development of Corporate Village Malta project is not encumbered and that it will progress in accordance with the Project Timelines. Discussions with MEPA are already underway and one has to appreciate that approval will be required for different stages of the project. At this stage, it is intended to reach an agreement with MEPA on the Development Brief by the time the selected bidder is appointed.

Q: Gli sviluppatori del progetto di cui parla sono architetti e/o ingegneri che possono contribuire ad una progettazione di dettaglio degli interni? Se si, come possono acquisire l'area da progettare? E se no, come può inserirsi uno studio di progettazione come è il nostro all'interno del Corporate Village Malta?

A: Gli investitori, sviluppatori e/o imprenditori del progretto saranno responsabili per i disegni dettagliati, lo sviluppo completo di costruzione dello stesso progetto ed anche per la sua gestione ed il suo marketing. L’area da progettare si trova nella manifestazione di interesse, che si trova anche sulla pagina Expression of Interest sul sito – controllare da pagine 31 a 44. Come avrà già notato nella manifestazione di interesse, la maggior parte dello spazio nel Corporate Village sarà dedicata agli uffici che saranno utilizzati da aziende operanti in vari settori del business e professionale, comprese aziende come voi.
(Translation: The developer of the project would be responsible for the detailed design, development of the project as well as its operation and marketing. The Schedules of Areas can be found in the Expression of Interest, which can also be downloaded from the Expression of Interest page on the website – refer to pages 31 to 44. Q: As architects, what is expected with the statement ‘detailed design and development’ please?

A: The former refers to the preparation of the comprehensive design of the proposed structure, while the latter refers to its construction.

Q: May I kindly enquire whether potential investors of the project would be asked to follow fixed designs/plans as presented by Malta Enterprise, or is there the possibility to submit different plans by other architects?

A: The design has been created and is being proposed. While this is not cast in stone, the design principles of the building will have to be maintained and/or approved by the Government of Malta.
